These terms apply to your use of this website and to locksmith work carried out by Balwyn Locksmith Service. Please read them before engaging us.

Information on this website

The content here is general information about locksmith services, not advice about your specific door, lock, vehicle or premises. Every property is different, and what is appropriate can only be confirmed once the hardware has been assessed.

Enquiries and quotes

Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract. No pricing is published on this website. Any figure discussed before attendance is an estimate based on your description, and may change if the situation on site is materially different. Where that happens, you will be told before additional work proceeds.

Availability

We do not promise arrival times or continuous availability, and nothing on this website should be read as such a promise. Attendance depends on current workload, the time of day and the nature of the job. Please call to confirm what can be arranged.

Authority and proof of entitlement

You must be entitled to authorise work on the property or vehicle concerned, and you must be able to demonstrate that entitlement. Where premises are leased or form part of common property, the landlord, managing agent, owners corporation or building manager may also need to authorise the work. We may decline or stop work if entitlement or authority cannot be established.

Nature of locksmith work

Non-destructive entry is attempted wherever the hardware reasonably allows it. Some locks that have already failed internally, been damaged, or are of a design that resists non-destructive opening may need to be replaced in order to gain access. You will be informed before any irreversible step is taken. Automotive work depends on the make, model and year of the vehicle, and some vehicles restrict key programming to franchised dealers.

Payment

Payment terms are agreed with you at the time work is arranged. Charges reflect the labour, hardware and time involved in the work actually performed.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under that law.

Limitations

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for pre-existing defects in doors, frames or hardware, for wear that becomes apparent during work, or for loss arising from information you provided that turned out to be inaccurate.

Standards and certifications

We make no claim on this website that work meets any particular standard, code or certification. If your premises has specific regulatory requirements, tell us before work is arranged so we can be clear about what we can and cannot take responsibility for.
